Sister Lucia writes her fourth Memoir and includes in it "Em Portugal se conservara sempre o dogma da fe" which is the first phrase of the Third Secret.
September 15, 1943:
Sister Lucia is infected with pleurisy. Bishop da Silva, fearing the nun might die, visits Tuy and asks Sister Lucia to write the Third Secret.
September 15 - October 1943
Mysteriously, Sister Lucia fails to write the secret despite Bishop da Silva's request.
October, 1943:
Bishop da Silva sends Sister Lucia a formal order to write the Third Secret.
January 2, 1944:
Our Lady appears to Sister Lucia and confirm's that it is truly God's will that she write the letter.
January 9, 1944:
Bishop da Silva is informed by Sister Lucia that the Third Secret has been written down.
Spring, 1944:
Sister Lucia confides to her spiritual director, her intention to see the speak with the Pope, Pope Pius XII.
1944: Bishop da Silva proposes that the Third Secret be sent to Rome. Rome refuses.
December 8, 1945:
Bishop da Silva places Sister Lucia's envelope in another envelope and sealed it with wax. He states that after his death the Third Secret should be passed on to Cardinal Cerejeira.
September 2, 1952:
Father Schweigl questions Sister Lucia about the Third Secret.
May, 1955:
Cardinal Ottaviani speaks with Sister Lucia and questions her on the Third Secret.
1956 - 1957:
The Holy Office asks for a copy of all writings of Sister Lucia, including the manuscript of the Third Secret.
March, 1957:
Bishop Venancio brings to the Apostolic Nuncio at Lisbon the sealed envelope containing the Third Secret.
April 16, 1957:
The envelope containing the Third Secret reaches Rome. May 14,
1957:
Mother Pasqualina confides to Robert Serrou that the Third Secret is in the Holy Father's apartment, in a safe reserved for
"secrets of the Holy Office"
December 4, 1957:
Death of Bishop da Silva.

Sister Lucia declares to Father Fuentes that "Only the Holy Father and the Bishop of Fatima could have known it, but they didn't want to read it."
October 9, 1958:
Pope Pius XII dies. He never read the secret.
January 25, 1959:
Pope John XXIII announces the calling of the Council.
August 17, 1959:
Pope John XXIII receives the envelope containing the Third Secret of Fatima.
February, 1960:
Pope John XXIII has Cardinal Ottaviani read the Third Secret of Our Lady of Fatima.
February 8, 1960:
The Vatican announces that the Third Secret of Fatima will not be divulged.
June 3, 1963:
Death of Pope John XXIII.
Summer 1963:
Pope Paul VI asks for the text of the Third Secret.
September 10, 1984:
The Bishop of Liera-Fatima declares:
"The contents of the Third Secret concern only our Faith... .., the loss of Faith...".
October, 1984 - June, 1985:
Cardinal Ratzinger gives "variations" of the Third Secret of Fatima.
August 1994:
Our Blessed Mother Mary appears to Dominic. Some mysteries of the Catholic Church were later revealed to him through locutions.
2000:
Our Blessed Mother reveals to Dominic that Her message at Fatima states that She, Mary is God because She Is the Soul of the Most Holy Spirit.
